Retired British Civil Servant, Allan Octavian Hume wrote a letter to the graduates of Calcutta University and asked them to take a lead in setting up a national political organisation. The Indian Association suggested to form the National Political association to represent their views in 1883.At the same time, British member of Parliament also wrote to the Times newspaper and suggested to forming the National political body to represent the views. People both in India and Britain had come to believe that the Indian people needed their own national political body to represent their views to the British Government. They thought we need an organization to express their problems.Political unrest,economic problems of the public and conspiracies like that of war of Independence of 1857 were increasing.After the Indian Revolt of 1857, graduates of British style universities appeared in India.There were very few jobs in Indian Civil Service.Instead they turned to careers in law,journalism or teaching.These youngsters wanted share with the British in the running of a country.However Great Britain had no intention of sharing power.In Modern history Nationalism has the greatest influence.It was not powerful force during Americana and French Revolution.In world history Nationalism is a modern movement.First world war ended in 1918,various leaders of that time, Kemal Ataturk in Turkey,Ibn Saud in the Arabian Peninsula,Mohandas Gandhi in India and Sun Yat Sen in China rose to power.These powerful leaders brought the idea of Nationalism in their countries.Р”В«RITISH IMPERIALISM INDIAN REVOLT OF 1857 All people should be educated in the language and about the instructions of their nation.People care about much areas of land and are prepared to fight to defend them.People are more loyal to their country.People think only rich people should be educated.People used to care the local area where they live their lives.
